How to cancel a manifestation app subscription: Stella, Aya, Innertune, I am and more

Beginner9 minute readUpdated October 2026
the short answer

You cancel a manifestation app where you paid, not in the app. On iPhone, go to Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Pick the app and tap Cancel Subscription. On Android, open Google Play and tap your profile. Then tap Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, the app and Cancel subscription. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it. Innertune, Manifest Affirmations and Mindvalley also sell on their own websites. If you paid there, cancel on that website or by email.

The short version: cancel where you paid

Almost every manifestation app bills you through Apple or Google. So you cancel in your phone’s subscription settings, not inside the app.

We make Solulu, a mind movie app, so several apps on this page are our competitors. The steps below work the same, whatever you decide to use next.

Three rules cover almost every case:

  1. Deleting the app does not cancel. Neither does deleting your account. The subscription lives with Apple, Google or the app’s website.
  2. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Most of these apps ask you to turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  3. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

First, find out where you paid

Check your receipt email. A receipt from Apple or Google means you cancel there. A receipt from the app itself, paid by card or PayPal, means you cancel on its website or by email.

App Where most people pay Also sold outside the stores? Support email
Stella Apple or Google None described portalappcontact@gmail.com, help@downloadstella.com
Aya Apple or Google None described info@litappslab.com
Innertune Apple or Google Yes, directly from Innertune support@innertune.com
I am Apple or Google None described hello@monkeytaps.app
ThinkUp Apple or Google None described info@precisewellness.com
Manifest Affirmations Apple or Google Yes, on its website support@mnfst-app.com
Mindvalley Its website, or Apple or Google Yes, mindvalley.com Live chat on its support site

Maybe you cannot find the app in Apple’s or Google’s subscription list. That is a strong sign you paid on the web. Search your email for the app’s name and “receipt.”

How to cancel on iPhone or iPad

On iPhone, you cancel every app on this page the same way, in the Settings app.

  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the app’s subscription.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down.
  5. If there is no Cancel button, or you see an end date in red, it is already cancelled.

On a Mac: open the App Store and click your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Click your name again, then Subscriptions, the app, and Cancel Subscription.

On the web: sign in at account.apple.com and open Subscriptions.

How to cancel on Android

On Android, you cancel every app on this page in the Google Play Store.

  1. Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile picture at the top right.
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Pick the app’s subscription.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the steps.

Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.

App by app: what is different

Each app has a few details worth knowing before you cancel. Here they are, app by app.

Stella

Cancel Stella in Apple’s or Google’s settings. Stella has no help center, and its terms send you to the stores.

  • Stella’s terms give the App Store and Google Play steps above. Stella is not sold on the web.
  • Deleting the app or your Stella account does not cancel it. Cancel the subscription itself.
  • Is Stella missing from Apple’s subscription list? Check that you are signed in with the Apple ID you paid with. Then search your email for an Apple receipt. If you still cannot find it, contact Apple Support.
  • Stella’s terms say all purchases are non-refundable. If you paid through Apple or Google, you can still ask them for a refund. See the refunds section below.
  • Support: portalappcontact@gmail.com or help@downloadstella.com. Cancel in your phone’s settings, not by email.

Aya

Cancel Aya in Apple’s or Google’s settings. Aya’s own help page says so.

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before your period ends to avoid the next charge.
  • You keep Premium until the end of the period.
  • You can delete your Aya account in the app, under Settings, Account, Delete account. You can also do it at ayamethod.com/en/delete-account. This removes your data within 30 days, but it does not cancel the subscription.
  • Paid, but Premium did not unlock? Use Restore purchases in the app’s settings. Or email info@litappslab.com with your order ID. Aya says it replies in one to two business days.

More in our Aya review.

Innertune

Cancel Innertune in Apple’s or Google’s settings, unless you bought it directly from Innertune.

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before your period ends to avoid the next charge.
  • Bought directly from Innertune (by card or PayPal, not through a store)? Cancel by email. Innertune’s terms give two addresses for this, support@innertune.com and privacy@innertune.com. Write to both, ask for written confirmation, and keep the reply.
  • The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you paid for.

I am (I am - Daily Affirmations)

Cancel I am in Apple’s or Google’s settings. Its maker, Monkey Taps, has no cancel page.

  • Turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. You keep Premium until the end of the period.
  • Before you delete the app, turn off its notifications in your phone’s settings. Then its reminders stop too.

ThinkUp

Cancel ThinkUp in Apple’s or Google’s settings. If you bought the for-life plan, there is nothing to cancel, because it is not a subscription.

  • Think before you delete the app. ThinkUp restores recordings only from an iCloud backup on the same phone. So if you delete the app or change phones, you lose your recorded affirmations.
  • For refund questions, ThinkUp asks you to email info@precisewellness.com first.

Manifest (four different apps)

Several apps from different makers use the name Manifest. So first check which one you have. Look at the maker’s name in your App Store or Google Play subscription list.

  • Manifest Affirmations (by AV Wellbeing Solutions, with archetype and “glow-up” plans). If you paid in the App Store, cancel in Apple’s settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. If it is not in Apple’s list, cancel by email. Its terms give support@manifesteem.com, and its store listings give support@mnfst-app.com. Write to both, ask for written confirmation, and keep it.
  • Manifest: Affirmations Daily (by Transcend Labs, with a star mascot and AI chat). It is not on Android, and Apple bills it, so cancel in Apple’s settings. Contact: contact@manifestapp.xyz.
  • Manifest & Affirmations - Soul (by Matthew Leong). Cancel in Apple’s settings.
  • The Manifest App (by author Roxie Nafousi). Cancel in Apple’s or Google’s settings.

Mindvalley

You cancel Mindvalley where you paid. That is mindvalley.com if you bought it there, or Apple or Google if you bought it in the app.

If you paid on the website:

  1. Log in at mindvalley.com.
  2. Click your profile picture at the top right and choose Account.
  3. Go to Billing & Subscriptions.
  4. Click Cancel. If you are offered a reason to stay, decline it to continue.
  5. Confirm. You will see the date your access ends.

Within 15 days of your first website purchase, the same page offers Get a refund. Renewal payments are not refunded. Purchases made in the app follow Apple’s or Google’s rules instead.

Getting a refund

Refunds come from whoever took your money: Apple, Google or the app’s own website.

  • Apple: go to reportaproblem.apple.com and choose “Request a refund.” Then pick the reason and the purchase. Apple decides, even when an app’s terms say “non-refundable.”
  • Google Play: Google says the fastest route is often to contact the app’s developer. The rules depend on your country.
  • Bought on the app’s website: ask the app. Mindvalley offers a refund within 15 days of a first website purchase. Innertune and Manifest Affirmations say website purchases are non-refundable, unless the law says otherwise.

Ask soon after the charge. Say plainly that you did not mean to renew, and keep screenshots of your cancellation.

What to try next

Maybe you are cancelling because nothing seemed to change yet. That does not mean manifesting failed you. Your outer world catches up with your inner state, and it can lag behind. Often the app just made it hard to believe your wish is coming. Before you pick the next one, look at how the app asked you to practice.

Most of the apps above give you words. Some give you affirmations to read (I am). Affirmations are short, positive sentences about yourself. Some give you affirmations to hear (Innertune, ThinkUp). Others give you a story told by a voice (Stella, Aya).

Words are a fine start, but they leave the hardest part to you. You still have to picture the life they describe, and believe it. That is why so many people say their affirmations “feel fake.” And a wish you cannot believe in is hard to hold until it arrives.

The better next step is to see it. That is what we built Solulu to do. It is the better choice for four reasons:

  1. You see yourself living it. You do not just read “I am loved” or hear a voice describe your future. You watch yourself in it, with your face, your person and your apartment. It feels like a memory, not a wish.
  2. It does not depend on your imagination. Stories and affirmations ask you to build the picture yourself. With a mind movie, the picture is in front of you. So it works even if the pictures in your mind are faint, or missing.
  3. It never goes stale. Most practices repeat the same words, audio or pictures every day. After a few weeks, your mind gets used to them and the feeling fades. The Solulu method makes refreshing part of the practice, and Solulu keeps making new mind movies of you as your story moves on. So what you watch never goes stale.
  4. It is easy to keep doing. It takes a few minutes when you wake up and before you sleep. There are no lines to count and no playlists to build.

Solulu is an iPhone app. You describe the life you want and add your photos. If you like, you can also add photos of your SP, places, outfits, pets and things you want. SP means “specific person”, the person you want to be with.

Solulu then makes mind movies with you in the scenes. Each one has a calm kaleidoscope opening, scenes of you living that life, affirmations and music. You get up to three new mind movies each week as your goals grow. Apple bills it, so you cancel it like any iPhone subscription, with the iPhone steps above.

App You see yourself living it Works without a strong imagination Easy to keep up
Solulu Yes, your own face in every scene Yes, you watch the scene Yes, two set times a day, new movies weekly
Stella No, audio stories Partly Yes, with a story limit
Aya No, audio of your future self Partly Yes, but stories do not loop
Innertune No, audio affirmations Partly Yes, in the background
I am No, text on your Lock Screen Yes Yes, with many notifications
ThinkUp No, your own voice Partly Yes
Mindvalley No, video courses about manifesting Partly, depends on the course Lessons take under 20 minutes a day

Would you rather start without any app? The method behind Solulu is free. Write one specific scene from the life you want and see yourself in it. Then watch it every morning and night, with fresh pictures every few days, until it shows up in your real life.

It is explained in what is the best manifestation method. A mind movie is the easiest way to see it.
