The Aya method: what it is and how to do it, with or without the app
The Aya method is a daily listening practice from the Aya manifestation app. Each day you listen to a short, personalized recording of your future self. That is the version of you who already has the life you want, describing it as already lived. You hear it as true until it shows up in your real life. The app writes the recording from your answers to a long list of questions. Each session takes a few minutes. You can do the main part without the app. Write your own future-self script, record it and listen to it.
Where the Aya method comes from
The Aya method comes from an app called Aya. It is not an old technique. It was created for the app.
The app’s full name is “Aya: Manifest Your Dream Self.” A company called Lit Apps LLC makes it. It is a manifestation app for iPhone and Android. Its own website calls the Aya method “a daily audio manifestation practice.” It also says the app is where the method was developed.
On TikTok, many creators talk about “the Aya method” as a technique. That is why people search for it the same way they search for the 369 method or scripting.
We make Solulu, another manifestation app.

How the Aya method works, step by step
Aya describes the method in five steps:
- Answer the questions. You fill in a long questionnaire. Aya says it has 28 steps. It asks who you are, what you are going through and what you want. It covers areas like love, career, money and self-worth.
- Get your recording. The app writes an audio that lasts 3 to 5 minutes. Aya calls it a Dream-Self Moment. It is spoken as the version of you who already has that life.
- Listen every day. Listen in the morning, on a walk or before sleep.
- Come back the next day. The repetition is the practice.
- Collect more recordings. Over time, you build up recordings for different parts of your life.
The app also has affirmations spoken in your future self’s voice. It has a vision board and a gratitude journal too. But Aya says the recording is the method itself.
Why hearing your future self feels powerful
The teaching under the Aya method is much older than the app. It is called living in the end. You live, think and feel as if your wish has already come true. Then it does.
Neville Goddard wrote about this in Feeling Is the Secret in 1944. He taught that you make a wish real by taking on the feeling of the wish fulfilled. You feel now the way you will feel when it is done. What you feel as true hardens into fact.
Most Law of Assumption methods ask you to create that feeling yourself. You might write it, which is called scripting. Or you might imagine it as you fall asleep, which is called SATS. The Aya method gives you the words. You just listen to a calm voice describe your life as already lived. So you can spend your energy on the feeling, not on finding the words.
That is also why it is easy to keep up. Listening takes no effort. You can do it while you make coffee.
How to do the Aya method free, without the app
You can do the main part of the Aya method on your own in about twenty minutes. Write a future-self script, record it, and listen every day.
- Pick one area. Choose love, money, a job, a home or your glow-up.
- Write as your future self. Use “I” and the present tense. Write as the version of you who already has it. Describe what your days look like now, what you have and how you feel. Aim for 150 to 250 words. That is one to two minutes when read aloud.
- Add your real details. Use names, places, the exact apartment, the exact job. Specific is better than beautiful.
- Record it slowly. Use the voice memo app on your phone. Read it slowly and warmly, as if you are telling a friend about your life. You can add soft music in the background if you like.
- Listen morning and night. Listen once when you wake up and once in bed. Close your eyes and let yourself feel each line.
An example future-self script for your SP
Here is a full script for an SP. SP means your specific person, the one person you want to be with. It is written the way your future self would say it.
It’s a slow Sunday and I’m curled up on the couch with them, my feet in their lap. We’re arguing, happily, about what to order for dinner. I don’t check my phone anymore to see if they’ve texted. They’re right here. And when we’re apart, they text first.
I remember when I used to wonder if this would happen. Now it’s just our life. Their toothbrush next to mine. Their laugh when I do my terrible impressions. The way they reach for my hand when we cross the street. I feel safe. I feel chosen. I feel completely at home with them.
Tonight we’re going to watch the same movie we always watch. I’ll fall asleep before the end, and they’ll cover me with the blanket. I love this life.
Notice that the script is about your life and your feelings. It does not describe them changing their mind or “becoming obsessed.” It simply lives in the end.
For other goals
I wake up in my own apartment, the one with the big window over the park. My new job starts at ten, so I have time for coffee on the windowsill. I love this life, and I love that it’s mine.
I check my savings and smile. I paid for my sister’s birthday dinner last night without thinking twice. Money feels calm now, like something I simply have.
What people use the Aya method for
On TikTok, the Aya method is mostly about love.
Most Aya method videos on TikTok are about a person. They talk about getting a text, an ex coming back, “no contact,” or someone becoming “obsessed” with you. Some tell you to listen before sleep, or to play the audio on repeat all night.
A word on that “obsessed” idea. You do not need to force anyone or script them changing. Your outer world reflects your inner state. So the work is your own state: how loved, calm and chosen you feel. Live from that place, and your life reflects it back. For a full guide, read how to manifest a specific person.
Aya method questions
Here are three questions people ask about the Aya method, with short answers.
Is the Aya method a subliminal?
No, though people use it in a similar way. A subliminal hides affirmations under music, so you hardly hear them. An Aya recording is a voice you hear clearly, telling you about your life. Some creators play their recordings on repeat all night, like a subliminal. To learn the difference, read do subliminals work?
Does the Aya method work?
Yes. It is a Law of Assumption method, like SATS and scripting. You hold a clear scene of the life you want and feel it as already yours. You focus on it every day, and it shows up in your life.
Like any method, it works when you keep coming back to it. If it seems slow, stay in the end. The 3D catches up. For the bigger question, read does manifestation work?
Do I need the Aya app?
No. Aya’s own website says you can practice the idea with any guided audio. It says what the app adds is a recording written for you. Your own recorded script, as shown above, gives you that personal recording for free.
The Aya method and similar methods
The Aya method belongs to a family of methods that ask you to live in the end. Here is how it compares with those methods and with other popular ones.
| Method | What you do | You see yourself in it | Works without a strong imagination | Time a day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Solulu method | Look at one scene of you living it, morning and night | Yes, your own face | Yes | A few minutes, twice |
| The Aya method | Listen to your future self describe your life | No, audio only | Partly, you picture what you hear | 3 to 5 minutes, once or twice |
| Scripting | Write your life as already done | No, words only | Partly | 10 to 20 minutes |
| SATS | Replay one scene as you fall asleep | Only if you can picture it | No | 5 to 15 minutes |
| Affirmations | Repeat short lines about yourself | No, words only | Yes | 2 to 5 minutes |
| Subliminals | Play hidden affirmations under music | No, audio only | Yes | 20 minutes or more |

Ways to do this
You can do it free by hand or see it with Solulu. You can also listen in the Aya app or to other guided audio.
- By hand, free. Write your own future-self script and record it on your phone. Listen morning and night, as shown above. It is private, personal and free.
- See it instead of hearing it. Solulu is an iPhone app, made by the team behind this site. You describe the life you want and add your photos. If you like, you can add photos of your SP, places, outfits and things you want. It makes personalized mind movies with you in the scenes. Each one has a calm kaleidoscope opening, scenes of you living that life, affirmations and music. It makes new mind movies as your goals grow. It is the best way to live in your future self, for the four reasons below.
- In the Aya app. You get a recording written for you from the app’s questionnaire, in your future self’s voice.
- With other guided audio. Any guided future-self meditation works the same way. But it will not include your own details.
If you want to see your future self, not just hear it
The Aya method does something real well. It puts your future life into words for you, and listening is easy to keep doing. But a voice can only describe the scene. You still have to picture it.
If pictures do not come easily to you, it stays a voice describing someone you cannot quite see. Solulu is built for that gap. It is the better choice for four reasons.
1. You see yourself living it. The Aya method gives you a voice. Scripting gives you a page, and affirmations give you lines. Solulu shows your own face in the scene. You are on the couch with your person, or at the window of your new apartment. It feels like a memory, not a description.
2. It does not depend on your imagination. With audio, the voice describes and your mind has to build the picture. With Solulu, the picture is already there. All your energy goes into feeling it, which is the part that matters.
3. It never goes stale. Most practices repeat the same words, audio or pictures every day. After a few weeks, your mind gets used to them and the feeling fades. The Solulu method makes refreshing part of the practice, and Solulu keeps making new mind movies of you as your story moves on. So what you watch never goes stale.
4. It is easy to keep doing. Scripting takes ten to twenty minutes of writing. SATS asks you to focus when you are half asleep. Watching a mind movie takes a few minutes, and it is as easy as listening.
The Solulu method sets those minutes at two fixed times, morning and night. You look at one specific scene from the life you want, with you inside it. Fixed times are what turn a practice into a habit.
You can even use both. Listen to your future self in the morning, and watch your scene at night. To compare the two apps directly, read Solulu vs Aya.
