What does SP mean in manifestation?

Beginner7 minute readUpdated October 2026
the short answer

In manifestation, SP stands for "specific person". It is one particular person you want a relationship with. It could be a crush, an ex, a partner or someone you have not met yet. Manifesting your SP means using a manifestation method to bring a relationship with that person into your life. You focus on them, not on love in general.

SP in one sentence

SP stands for specific person. It is the one person you want to be with. There is nothing more mysterious to it than that.

You might see someone on TikTok write “I manifested my SP.” She means there was one person she wanted a relationship with. She used manifestation, and now they are together.

The word does not say anything about gender. Your SP does not have to be a man. Your SP can be anyone.

A few other places use “SP” for something else. In games it means single player. In writing, “(sp?)” means “I’m not sure of the spelling.” In manifestation, it always means specific person.

Who counts as an SP?

Anyone you want a relationship with can be your SP. These are the most common.

  • A crush. Someone you like who does not know it yet, or someone you have been talking to.
  • An ex. Someone you were with and want back. This is one of the biggest SP groups of all.
  • A partner. Someone you are already with. You want the relationship to be closer, kinder or more committed.
  • A situationship. This is a relationship with no clear label. You are “sort of” together and want to be properly together.
  • Someone you have met once or twice. The person from the party, the barista, the friend of a friend.
  • A celebrity. Some people manifest a famous person. It is the same practice as for anyone else.
  • Someone you have not met yet. Some people use SP for a future partner whose name they do not know. Most people call this manifesting “a relationship” instead. They keep the word SP for one real person.

SP vs crush vs ex vs soulmate

Word What it means Is it the same as SP?
Crush Someone you like A crush becomes your SP when you decide to manifest them
Ex Someone you used to be with An ex becomes your SP when you want them back
Partner Someone you are with now Can be your SP if you are manifesting a better relationship with them
Soulmate The person you believe you are meant to be with A belief about destiny. Your SP is simply the person you choose to manifest

In short, SP is not a type of relationship. It is a label for whoever you are focusing on.

Why manifest one person instead of “love”?

Because most people do not want “a partner.” They want that person.

In the Law of Assumption, what you hold in your mind as already true comes into your life. Neville Goddard is the teacher most SP practitioners follow. In his 1944 book Feeling Is the Secret, he asks a simple question. “How would I feel were my wish realized?”

When your wish is one real person, that feeling is easy to find. You already know how their laugh sounds. You know what it would feel like to sit next to them.

There are three more reasons people choose a specific person.

  1. It is honest. If you think about one person all day, manifesting “someone amazing” feels like pretending.
  2. The scenes are easy to picture. You can imagine their hand in yours, their name on your phone and the café you would go to.
  3. The community is huge. Whole online groups exist only to manifest a specific person. The largest SP group on Reddit had about 59,000 members in June 2026. We also looked at more than 7,000 comments under manifestation videos on TikTok. “SP” was one of the most common community words there, used 134 times.

Some people prefer to manifest love without a name, and that is just as good. It leaves room for someone they have not met. Many people do both. They manifest their SP and also hold the feeling of being deeply loved, whoever it turns out to be.

The SP words you will meet in your first five minutes

SP communities have their own words. These are the ones you will see straight away, explained plainly. Every one of them is also in the manifestation glossary.

Word What it means In a sentence
The 3D The physical world, meaning what is happening right now outside your head “The 3D says they’re ignoring me, but I’m not letting it decide.”
3P Third person or third party. It means imagining a friend congratulating you, or manifesting something for someone else “I did a 3P scene where my best friend squeals about our first date.”
Persisting Holding on to your belief that it is done, even when the 3D does not match yet “Day 40 of persisting. Still choosing us.”
“It’s done” A reminder that, in your mind, the wish is already real “I don’t need to check their profile. It’s done.”
The void A deep, very calm state of meditation that some people try to reach to manifest. People argue a lot about what it is “Has anyone actually reached the void state?”
SATS The State Akin To Sleep. You replay your scene in the drowsy minutes before you fall asleep “I do SATS every night with the scene of them picking me up from work.”
Revision Replaying something that went badly the way you wish it had gone “They left me on read, so I revised it before bed: they replied with a heart.”
Self-concept What you believe about yourself, especially how lovable you are “My self-concept work is ‘I am always chosen.’”
No contact Not reaching out to an ex or SP for a while, either to heal or to stop checking “I’m in no contact and focusing on me.”
Detaching Letting go of the need to see proof, while still keeping the wish “Detaching doesn’t mean giving up. It means I stop checking.”

Two more you might see are LOA and LOAss. LOA is the Law of Attraction. LOAss is the Law of Assumption. That is Neville Goddard’s teaching that whatever you assume to be true becomes your reality. Most SP communities follow the Law of Assumption. The full idea is on The Law of Assumption explained.

What SP manifestation looks like in practice

Most SP practice is small, quiet and done in your own head. Then it shows up in the 3D. Here is a typical day for someone manifesting her SP.

  • In the morning, she reminds herself of the end result. “We’re together. They text me first.”
  • During the day, she lives like someone they already love. She does not check their profile, and she keeps her own life full.
  • When the 3D does not match, like a slow reply or a post with someone else, she revises it that night. She does not panic.
  • At night, she replays one short scene as she falls asleep.

A good SP scene is short and ordinary. It only makes sense if you are already together. For example:

Jordan leans over at the cinema, steals a handful of my popcorn and whispers, “Same seats next week?”

Does SP manifestation work?

Yes. People all over the SP communities share how they got their person. They tell of the ex who came back, the crush who finally asked them out and the partner who became more loving. Stories like these are why the communities keep growing.

The usual worry is fair. How can a scene in your head change what another person does? Neville’s answer is that your outer world reflects your inner state. Your SP is part of that outer world. When you assume you are already loved and chosen by them, the 3D moves to match.

Research backs parts of the practice too. People who picture themselves doing something, as if watching from the outside, become more likely to do it. After a breakup, people whose sense of who they are gets shaky feel worse. So the self-concept work at the center of SP practice meets a real need.

Feeling calm, wanted and sure of yourself also shows. It changes how you text, how you walk into a room and how much space you give someone.

A word on keeping it healthy

Manifesting an SP should make your life lighter, not smaller.

We read posts in SP communities on Reddit. Two struggles came up most. People found it hard when the 3D did not match yet. And they could not stop thinking about their SP.

When the 3D is slow, the answer is to persist. Revise, stay in the end and keep living as if it is done. The 3D catches up.
